You can integrate JPEG 2000 into your application in somewhat 15 minutes (well, maybe in half an hour ) by using J2K-Codec software component.
J2K-Codec is probably the easiest JPEG2000 decoder to use. With the special 1-Call shortcut functions and C++ wrapper classes, you don't need to read 20+ pages and figure out mysterious function parameters to start using it.
